BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT ST. MONICA PARISH

The catholic Diocese of Mzuzu in the Republic of Malawi in Central Africa has eighteen (18) Parishes and St. Monica Catholic Parish is one of them. it was declared as a Parish on Easter Vigil, 16th of April, 2017. It is situated in Mzimba. Politically it covers some parts of Mzimba Sout Constituency, Mzimba South East and Mzimba Solora Constituencies. The Parish covers almost 6000 Square Kilometers and has around a total number of 60 000 Christians.

Faithful to the spirit of the origins of the Catholic Church, St Monica Catholic Parish roots all her action in the Gospel and Social Teaching of the Church: Respect for the dignity of the human person, Justice, Solidarity, Fraternity, Reconciliation, Peace, the preferential option for the poor, Integral development of the human person, subsidiarity, the Universal destination of goods, and the indivisibility of rights.
