Message from the Bishop

Welcome to Mzuzu diocese

Archbishop of Mzuzu

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

It is with great joy and humble gratitude that I warmly welcome you to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu. We are a living and vibrant family of faith, united in Christ and committed to proclaiming the Gospel, serving God's people, and fostering spiritual and social transformation in our communities.

In our Diocese, the Church is present through our parishes, institutions, clergy, religious men and women, and the lay faithful who together continue the mission of Christ in Northern Malawi. We strive to live out the values of faith, hope, and love in all that we do.

Whether you are a member of our local Church, a visitor, or someone seeking to deepen your understanding of the Catholic faith, I invite you to journey with us. May you find spiritual nourishment, encouragement, and a sense of belonging within our diocesan family.

May Almighty God bless you abundantly, and may Our Lady, Mother of the Church, continue to intercede for and guide our Diocese of Mzuzu.

Rt. Rev. Yohane Suzgo Nyirenda
