Saint of the Day

St. Maria Faustina Kowalska

St. Maria Faustina Kowalska (1905–1938) was a Polish religious sister of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. She became known for her profound devotion to Divine Mercy. Through her spiritual diary and life of prayer, she emphasized God's mercy, trust in Christ, forgiveness, and compassion toward others. She was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2000.

Daily Reflection

The story of the Good Samaritan challenges us to make love practical. It is easy to feel compassion, but Christian love calls us to act. We are called to notice those who are suffering, wounded, lonely, or forgotten and respond with mercy. St. Faustina's life reminds us that God's mercy received in prayer should become mercy expressed toward others. Prayer: Jesus, I trust in You. Give me a merciful heart that notices those who are suffering and gives generously without expecting anything in return. Amen.
