Saint of the Day
St. Bruno
St. Bruno (c. 1030–1101) was a German priest, theologian, and founder of the Carthusian Order. He sought a life of deeper contemplation, silence, prayer, and solitude. His spiritual tradition emphasizes listening to God, simplicity, and allowing prayer to shape one's entire life.
Daily Reflection
In the story of Martha and Mary, Jesus reminds us that activity must never completely replace listening to God. We can become so busy with responsibilities that we forget the One whom we are serving. St. Bruno's contemplative life teaches us the importance of silence and prayer. Today, create some quiet space in your heart and allow God to speak.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to slow down and listen to You. Give me a contemplative heart that recognizes Your presence in the silence and ordinary moments of life. Amen.
