Judicial Vicar
Rev. Fr Daniel Chasowa Kamanga, JCD
- Heads the Diocesan Ecclesiastical Tribunal
- Administers justice in accordance with canon law
- Oversees the hearing and judgment of canonical cases, especially marriage nullity cases
- Supervises and coordinates the work of tribunal personnel
- Ensures the fair and timely administration of justice
- Advises the Bishop on canonical and judicial matters
- Safeguards the rights of the faithful in judicial processes
- Promotes the correct application of canon law within the Diocese
Chancellor
Rev. Fr. Philip Nkunika DP
- Oversees the administration of the diocesan chancery
- Maintains and safeguards official diocesan records and archives
- Prepares, authenticates, and preserves official Church documents
- Ensures the proper documentation of diocesan acts and decrees
- Coordinates official diocesan correspondence
- Certifies and issues official ecclesiastical documents
- Ensures compliance with canon law regarding diocesan records
- Supports the Bishop in the administration of the Diocese
Director of Social Services
The directorate of social services is the aid and development agency of the Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu. It is an ordered service to the community and is inspired by Gospel values and the Catholic Social Teachings, to respond to disasters, promote integral human development and advocate on the causes of poverty and conflict.

Director of Finance and Administration
- Provides strategic leadership for the Diocese's financial and administrative operations
- Oversees budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting
- Ensures prudent stewardship of diocesan resources and assets
- Supervises procurement, contracts, and asset management
- Develops and implements financial and administrative policies
- Ensures compliance with Church regulations and financial standards
- Supports the Finance Council and advises the Bishop on financial matters
- Oversees human resources, administration, and operational services
- Promotes transparency, accountability, and efficiency in diocesan administration
- Coordinates the work of finance, procurement, and administrative departments
Pastoral Coordinator
Rev Fr Raymond Mwale
- Coordinates the pastoral activities and programmes of the Diocese
- Assists the Bishop in planning and implementing the diocesan pastoral vision
- Promotes evangelization, faith formation, and pastoral outreach
- Coordinates the work of diocesan pastoral departments, commissions, and ministries
- Supports parishes and pastoral agents in carrying out their mission
- Organizes diocesan pastoral meetings, workshops, and events
- Encourages collaboration among clergy, religious, and lay faithful
- Monitors and evaluates the implementation of pastoral programmes
- Promotes unity and effective communication across the Diocese
- Advises the Bishop on pastoral priorities and initiatives
Legal Department
Counsel Wapona Kita
- Provides legal advice to the Diocese, parishes, institutions, religious congregations, and the faithful
- Drafts and reviews commercial, employment, and other legal contracts
- Ensures legal compliance in diocesan operations and agreements
- Offers legal guidance on matters arising from the day-to-day activities of the Diocese
- Liaises with the Diocese's panel of advocates on legal matters
- Coordinates legal representation and supports the resolution of legal issues involving the Diocese
