THREE SISTERS TAKE VOWS AT ST PAUL'S PARISH IN MZIMBA

Three sisters from the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (MIC) took their religious vows.

There was a joyful celebration at St Paul's Parish in Mzimba District as three sisters from the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (MIC) took their religious vows.
Sister Susan Chalira made her final vows, while Sister Patricia Mvalamanja and Sister Chimwemwe Blaim made their first vows which of chastity, obedience and poverty.
The mass was presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Mzuzu, His Lordship Bishop Yohane Suzgo Nyirenda who encouraged the sisters to remain faithful to the vows they have made.
The Bishop urged them to always pray to God to help them live their vows faithfully and to be good leaders in the Church.
Bishop Nyirenda also encouraged the youth who are still in the process of choosing their vocations to choose wisely and to ask God to guide them in choosing their vocation.
Speaking after the Mass, the Provincial Superior for Malawi and Zambia, Sister Charity Zimba, said they are very happy to see the congregation growing, which shows that people have welcomed their mission. She said the Bishop's message was powerful and has reminded them of the vows they made in the past.
Speaking on behalf of the three sisters, Sr Patricia Mvalmanja, said she is very happy to have made her first vows. She  thanked God for the vocation while praying for His guidance on the chosen path.
Sr Patricia Mvalamanja has been sent to work at MIC convent in Mzuzu, Sr Chimwemwe Blaim is going to Chisenga Convent in Chitipa while Sr Susan Chalira will be working at Namulenga High School in Mulanje.
